Liquid Cooling Equipment Sealing Solutions

· Data center liquid cooling systems contain multiple sealed interfaces, including UQD/UQDB quick disconnects, cold plates, manifolds, coolant distribution units, pumps and valves. Reliable seals help control coolant leakage and support stable long-term operation.

· Hao Seal provides standard and custom O-rings and molded rubber seals. Material and seal design are evaluated according to the coolant formulation, temperature, pressure, connection cycles, groove dimensions and service-life requirements.

UQD / UQDB Quick Disconnect Seals

Quick disconnects require compact, dimensionally stable seals for connected operation and repeated connection and disconnection.

Technical Requirements

· Compatibility with the specified coolant and additives.

· Low compression set during long-term connected operation.

· Resistance to wear, rolling and cutting during repeated mating cycles.

Cold Plate and Manifold Seals

Cold plates and manifolds use static seals at covers, ports, coolant channels and connection interfaces.

Technical Requirements

· Stable sealing under long-term compression and thermal cycling.

· Resistance to coolant exposure, including glycol and corrosion-inhibitor additives.

· Standard O-rings and custom gaskets for different groove and port designs.

CDU, Pump and Valve Seals

Coolant distribution units contain pumps, valves, filters, sensors, reservoirs and multiple fluid connections.

Technical Requirements

· Stable sealing during continuous coolant circulation and pressure fluctuations.

· Resistance to swelling, hardening and excessive volume change.

· Standard and custom seals for pumps, valves, filters, sensors and hose fittings.

Application-Based Material Selection

EPDM is commonly evaluated for water and glycol-based coolants. HNBR, FKM, FVMQ or FFKM may be considered for other fluid chemistries or operating requirements. Final material selection should be confirmed using the complete coolant formulation and actual operating conditions.
