Hello everyone, I am the editor. Today, we will introduce how to handle silicone adhesive molds. The following content has been compiled by the conductive silicone editor for reference.

For manufacturers who use silicone molds to produce products, silicone molds can quickly replicate the characteristics of the product, greatly improving production efficiency and saving mold costs. However, there may be some issues to some extent, and it can be said that demolding is a crucial step when opening silicone products.
The problem of silicone mold sticking seriously affects production efficiency. So, how can silicone molds be demolded to avoid sticking? Today, let's analyze the problem of silicone mold sticking with everyone.
There are generally two reasons for the sticking of silicone molds: the curing agent is not stirred evenly and poured into the mold, causing one piece to dry and the other not to dry when removed; Insufficient surface smoothness, surface defects, and small local chamfers of the mold can all cause sticking. Below, we will analyze specific solutions for these two reasons.
1. Mold surface treatment
Before opening the mold, it is necessary to process the mold type. For example, if the surface of the mold is rough or complex, it must be polished smooth or cleaned by oneself, and then evenly brushed with release agent. Common release agents include Vaseline, dishwashing detergent, liquid paraffin, etc. In practical operation, different release agents can be applied according to the material of the mold type.
2. Spray release agent treatment
In the molding of silicone products, the release agent is sprayed onto the mold on the side where the silicone product does not stick, but sometimes it is not easy to stick. Solution: Use a spray bottle or other container filled with clean water, spray the product wherever you want it to stick, and after spraying, it will stick to the desired area.
3. Mold temperature adjustment
Silicone molds are usually stuck to the lower half of the mold temperature, such as when the upper mold temperature is 175 and the lower mold temperature is 165. When opening the mold, it is usually stuck to the lower mold.
Experience summary: When encountering silicone mold sticking, do not replace the mold release agent with better demolding performance for convenience, or increase the amount and frequency of mold release agent use. Spraying too much mold release agent can easily cause surface dirt on the mold, which can have a certain impact on the appearance of the product. Using too much mold release agent can also affect the adhesion ability of silk screen printing and oil spraying in the later stage.
